Position: Project Co-ordinator (16 hours/week) Temporary

Rate: £14.50/hr

About Us:

Since 2020, we has been delivering workshops in poetry and fiction to young people in and around Oxford. We’ve worked with charities and organisations in the county to reach young people who experience barriers to education including children in care, young carers, and those from asylum-seeking and refugee backgrounds. We seek to create a workshop environment where participants feel listened to and willing to share, create, and experiment with written expression.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Co-ordinator to join Fusion Arts and support the Creative Writing Hub. As a Project Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in the administration of the scheme, ensuring its smooth operation and success.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the implementation of the scheme, including defining timelines and deliverables alongside our artists.
* Coordinate and communicate with those involved including mentors and partner organisations to ensure effective collaboration and timely progress.
* Manage project documentation, including contracts, agreements, and permissions.
* Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and monitor project progress to ensure adherence to deadlines.
* Coordinate workshops.
* Handle logistics, such as venue bookings.
* Support the evaluation and assessment of the scheme's impact and effectiveness.
* Prepare reports, presentations, and other project-related documentation.
* Provide administrative support to project team members as needed.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in project administration or coordination, preferably in the arts sector.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented and meticulous, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
* Proficient in using project management tools and software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.
* Experience of or a deep understanding of barriers to education.
