Salary / Fee:
£11.75 - £12.75 per hour dependent on experience.
Closing Date:
Friday, 9 February, 2024

Fixed term contract April 2024 – Jan 2025.
Chipping Norton Theatre is an acclaimed local theatre with a regional and national presence. We are rebuilding our inhouse theatre producing capabilities post-pandemic, and are looking for a new team member to support the creation and delivery of three important inhouse theatre productions over the coming months. These include Lark Rise and Barndance (two large scale community plays, combining the work of Olivier-award-winning playwrights, professional creative teams and a mixed professional and community acting company), a national midscale touring production of the comic musical murder mystery Murder for Two, and our nationally renowned traditional family pantomime.

The role would suit a range of skills and experience levels, including candidates early in a theatre/arts career looking for more experience in arts admin, theatre production, casting or venue management. The role could be delivered full onsite at Chipping Norton Theatre, on through a mix of home and office working. Duties will include casting, production logistics, creative team liaison, liaising with tour venues, supporting creative teams and cast members. Training can be provided on all tasks.

Working Schedule:
The exact working schedule can be agreed with the successful candidate, and can, to some extent, fit around other commitments. It is roughly anticipated that the role would work 2 or 2.5 days per week between 15th April 2024 and 12th Jan 2025, but with two periods of increased commitment around rehearsal periods – 19th May – 20th June, and 14th Oct – 17th Nov. In these periods, the role would ideally move to 4 days per week or full time. The role can be worked on an employee or a freelance basis.
