The Story Museum is seeking a new Finance Director to oversee a sustainable and profitable financial model that enables the Museum’s complex, cultural enterprise to thrive and deliver its mission to enrich lives through stories. Working closely with the CEO and Director and as part of the Executive Team, the postholder will play a key strategic role leading the financial forecasting, planning and reporting cycle for the current business plan, alongside developing a long-term dynamic, sustainable mixed-income business model. This is an exciting time for the Museum which has seen turnover double in three years with successful growth across all income streams. The Museum is now looking towards the next stage of its development, creating a thriving, resilient and sustainable business model that will deliver the long term strategic ambitions of the organisation and its charitable mission.

Salary: £50,000 pro-rata
Contract: permanent part-time (0.6)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: The Story Museum, 42 Pembroke Street, Oxford OX1 1BP
