Workshop leader needed to run our 'Put on a play in a week' workshops for ages 9-12 next week.

Rate: £450 with up to £120 towards travel expenses.

Job Requirements

Essential

Experience running Drama workshops for children
Experience working with classic text and /or Shakespeare
Smart, personable, confident and a good team player
Interest in the arts
A degree or similar in Acting, Theatre Arts or English

Desirable

Experience of working in a creative or artistic environment
Directing/professional acting experience
Customer service experience
CRB checked
First Aid certificate
Car owner and clean driving licence

Job Responsibilities

Leading holiday workshops will involve:
Leading drama games and exercises
Devising scripts/adapting texts for a performance at the end of the week.
Leading a group of up to 16 children, along with a workshop Assistant.
Supervising the children on lunchbreaks and during the pick up/drop off period at the beginning and end of the day
Ensure a warm and professional welcome and farewell at workshops for participants and their parents/guardians.
Ensure policies, practices and reports are completed to guarantee professional quality workshops are delivered.
