Reports to: Technical Manager and Head of Technical and Operations

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £20,048.08 pro rata, 6-month contract at £10,024 (subject to experience)

Location: Market Place, Newbury. And other Corn Exchange venues as required.

Contract: 6 months (October 2023 - March 2024)

Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus public holidays (pro rata for part time staff)

The Corn Exchange are looking a self-motivated and collaborative team player, aged 18 – 25 years to join our busy Technical department for 6-months on our Technical Traineeship.

We are giving the opportunity for a young person to come and support the Technical team and learn what is takes to support an array performance in our busy receiving theatre.

From rigging lighting and sound equipment, running our cinema or working our big outdoor events, this traineeship will teach you how versatile and extensive the technical side of theatre can be, with the help and guidance of the Corn Exchange team.

Whether you have considered pursuing a career in the arts or not, this is a wonderful opportunity for those who want to get their start in the industry or simply want to learn brand-new skills.
