The Story Museum is looking for a dynamic Business Development and Venue Hire manager to continue to grow its successful venue hire operation and develop new commercial income streams. The postholder will be responsible for looking after the Museum's many and varied venue hire clients looking for spaces for meetings, conferences and parties. They will also take a lead on developing new income streams such as international visitor groups, 'Nights at the Museum' sleepovers and supporting other teams with their commercial enterprise activities.

The successful candidate will need experience of running similar commerical activities, have a hands-on organisational approach and be confident with numbers and spreadsheets.

Salary: £25,000-£27,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Weekend and evening work will be required to support booked events, for which time off in lieu will be given
