Salary: £40,000 pro rata
Contract: initial fixed term for 6 months, flexible working available
Hours: 4 days per week (0.8 FTE)

The Story Museum is seeking an interim Head of Fundraising with proven experience in developing sustainable income streams and building pipelines across High Net Worth Individuals, Grant making Trusts and Corporate Partnerships.

The successful candidate will devise and lead the fundraising strategy to meet annual targets by implementing a sustainable mix of funding across statutory, charitable and individual sources and managing their own portfolio of major prospects (£10k+), with a particular focus on grant-making trusts and corporates. The Head of Fundraising will manage the Fundraising Officer and Fundraising Assistant to deliver the annual fundraising plan and manage the fundraising budget.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of Communications & Impact and the CEO in retaining and meeting the requirements of public and lottery grants including ACE, NHLF, Oxford City Council and collaborate with the Business Development Manage and other colleagues across the Museum to maximise income from corporates via membership, sponsorship and corporate partnerships.

This post reports directly to the Museum CEO/director and as a senior member of The Story Museum’s team they will be expected to actively contribute to the organisation’s forward strategy including Business planning, budget setting, monitoring, evaluation and risk monitoring and management and providing the Board with regular reports.

This is a part-time role (0.8 FTE/4 days per week) on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.
