Do you like stories? Are you full of enthusiasm and ideas? Would you like to be part of a mission to connect people with the transformative power of stories? We have two 25-day paid internships available from April to May 2022 to support our Easter Family and Schools Programmes.

The role will involve working alongside our Story Leaders and our learning team to welcome 8-12 year olds to our Easter holiday skills courses and supporting our Extreme Reading Adventures programme for Key Stage 2 children who have been identified as ‘reluctant readers’. You will also have opportunities to support the wider Museum activities by assisting with general office tasks and carrying out front of house shifts when necessary.

You’ll be a willing learner, comfortable speaking in front of groups of people, and with a friendly and approachable manner. You’ll need to enjoy working with young people particularly those with lived experience of the global majority and you'll be happy working independently and as well as collaboratively. Experience of oral storytelling skills and leading creative activities would be a plus but not essential as training can be given.

Salary: £9.50 per hour
Contract: 25 Days between 11 April – 3 June, which must include Sundays 1, 8, 15 & 22 May.
