At OYAP we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual who is genuinely excited by youth and community arts to cover maternity leave. You’ll need a passion for creativity, be committed to increasing engagement in the arts, and be able to provide excellent administrative and hands-on delivery support to our programmes.

The ideal candidate will have
- enthusiasm to work with young people and promote what we do
- creativity to deliver youth arts activities
- organisational skills to co-ordinate projects and events
- confidence to work with our team and partners

No two days will be the same, so you’ll need to be willing to work flexibly, be practical and think on your feet, and have the ability able to meet deadlines and projects targets. You will get the chance to develop your skills, work with freelance artists and partner organisations, participants, and to learn how a small community venue operates.

This role offers the opportunity both to help us plan and deliver of our programme of youth arts projects and to help us develop a vibrant arts venue. It would suit someone who has some customer facing experience, an enthusiasm for what we do, and who is keen to progress a career in youth or community arts, or perhaps in managing a venue.

We would consider applicants without all the required experience if you can convince us you have the drive to take the role on. We are also open to part time or job share options if you can demonstrate this is an effective way to cover the role.

An application pack can be downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ry3PKum...

OYAP is committed to equality of opportunity for all. Selection for interview will be based on your response to the job description and person specification, so please make sure that you read these when preparing your CV and statement.

To apply please email us your CV, along with a statement or covering letter (maximum 2 sides of A4) which tells us about your creative skills and the experience you bring to the post.

Anticipated start date: 25 April
