The Theatre is seeking a Youth Theatre facilitator to lead its new group for children with limited arts engagement. This role will play a crucial part in developing The Theatre’s outreach and engagement with children in Chipping Norton. Reporting to the Take Part Director, the successful candidate will take the lead on planning and delivering a series of drama workshops for children with limited or no experience of theatre. They will also be responsible for working with the participants to devise a piece of theatre of performance-standard, which may be incorporated into The Theatre’s end of term showcase.

The Acting Out Facilitator will have strong experience of engaging young people through drama, and some experience of working alongside participants with low arts engagement. We are always far more interested in finding the right person for us, and encourage applications from anyone who feels they can take on the job.

The Acting Out workshops will be taking place on a weekly basis for ten sessions. The first session is on Wednesday 19th January and the final session is on Wednesday 30th March. There will be no session on Wednesday 23rd February due to half term. The sessions will last for 1.5 hours, with an additional 30 minutes required for planning and evaluation. The sessions will take place at Glyme Hall, Burford Road, Chipping Norton, OX7 5DZ.
