Request for Community artists/ graphic designer for a youth arts project

This is an exciting opportunity for a locally based artist/s to work with Didcot’s young people to create a stylish and uplifting work on temporary hoardings in Didcot. We are looking for a lead artist or graphic designer to run workshops with local young people to create images for this mural or outdoor art gallery in Didcot.

We would like our lead artist to run at least 5 workshops at Cornerstone Art Centre in Didcot and liaise with our printing contractors and hoarding suppliers to create a stunning work of art called “my perfect garden”.

We are seeking expressions of interest to be emailed to Abigail.brown@southandvale.gov.uk by Monday 29th November 2021. Your Expression of interest should include the following:

· an artist’s statement/ outline of your approach to this project

· Examples of previous work on projects of a similar nature

· At least 2 references from similar projects you have worked on

and

· confirmation that you have current DBS check and are covered by professional liability insurance
