New Theatre, Oxford is currently seeking a full time, permanent Technical and Building Manager to join and lead the team in our 1800-capacity theatre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader and skilled technician to work on a diverse and exciting programme, featuring the best names in music, comedy and large scale musicals. Our upcoming programme ranges from John Bishop to Nina Conti, Tim Minchin to Katherine Ryan, Billy Ocean to John Cooper Clarke, two Welsh National Opera Productions and the hit musicals Bat Out Of Hell and 9-5, and much more - so this role is for you if you enjoy variety and understand how to deliver a great service to the producers and companies bringing their shows to us.

To succeed in this role you'll need to be a clear communicator. Responsible for a permanent and casual team of technicians and maintenance staff, you'll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to hundreds of performances and events each year. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us is a key part of the role. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard and establishing a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning and management and practical technical work, in a dynamic and fast moving venue, right in the heart of the beautiful city of Oxford.
