West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) are seeking an experienced self-employed community choir leader to plan and lead a new choir in Carterton, Oxfordshire. We are seeking a dynamic and inclusive leader, who is used to encouraging and integrating voices of different levels of experience. As well as increasing participants singing abilities the main aim of the choir is to promote wellbeing and connection for participants. The leader will be expected to play or supply their own music. WODC are seeking a leader who is used to working independently and being responsible for all areas of running their own choir to include;
• Holding all relevant insurances and checks
• Keeping information on the participants (GDPR compliant)
• Ensuring all members of the choir have a fun and feel included
WODC will financially support the choir leader in the set up and first initial 6 weekly sessions of the choir with a view to creating a sustainable community choir in the area which the leader will then take on financial responsibility for. The fee will be £90 per session to include planning, preparation and travel, sessions are 1.5 hours long with half an hour for set up and pack down.
