Branch Arts is a growing agency that prides itself on the facilitation of creative partnerships and strategic communications. At the centre of Branch Arts is our network of organisations, artists, specialist designers, technicians and PR and marketing consultants. As an umbrella organisation, Branch Arts provides key services that include advocacy, strategic communications, artist representation, consultancy and design, as well as project management. Our work is multifaceted to provide holistic support to our clients. We aim to partner clients who share our belief that art should be inclusive; innovative; educational and considerate of its social impact.

The Assistant Director role offers an exciting opportunity to join Branch Arts in a dynamic position working across this growing business. As Assistant Director, the role will develop exhibitions and artists pages and take a lead on a number of the strategic communications campaigns for our clients. This role will suit a self-starter with a visual arts background in either curation, project management or proven track record in communications.

The organisation aims to support artists we have worked with over the years and create a portal to share their working practice; studio insights and new work with our clients. Our commitment to our artists extends to the charities they support and is central to the Branch ethos. The Assistant Director will share responsibility for artist liaison, exhibition development and sales.

As part of Branch Art’s holistic agency working to promote visual artists, we provide strategic communications and advocacy for organisations and galleries. The Assistant Director will work with our PR / Marketing clients to provide comprehensive campaigns across multiple platforms including traditional print media, social-media and online content.

This role will suit a motivated self-starter who takes initiative, with the ability to work well alone and as part of a team. Collaboration with other arts organisations, associates and artists is at the heart of the business and the role will suit an individual who enjoys making connections and sharing ideas. As part of a small team, the successful candidate will be able to fulfil the majority of administration demands of a busy working office with a keen eye for detail and able to demonstrate strong organisational skills.

Branch Arts is based in Oxfordshire but our work takes us nationwide. The role will suit those comfortable with remote working combined with days in the office and with London clients.
