Jan-April 2021
Project fee: £4000

After a highly successful online festival in 2020 we are seeking to move forward with a blended model incorporating both in-person and online events, working with a number of cultural partners across Oxford.

Folk Weekend: Oxford works on a partnership model, with a team of independent partners coming together to curate a programme of events across the festival weekend. The Creative Producer will facilitate communication between partners, ensuring a balanced programme of events across the festival and bringing in new promoters where appropriate. You will have excellent communication skills, and ability to work to deadlines, but most importantly in the current cultural climate you will need be flexible and able to adapt to whatever restrictions we find ourselves in come April.

You will be line managing an Assistant Producer who has been in role for a year, and a small team of volunteers. Currently this role is fixed term to April 2021, but we are in the process of applying for funding to extend it for another year; our ideal candidate would be able to take a longer term view of building a successful festival in a post-Covid age, and would be proactive in seeking funding and creating fundraising opportunities to enable the festival to continue into the future.
