The Immigrant is an entirely non-verbal production, in the tradition of Charlie Chaplin’s films.
Using visual, physical and slapstick comedy to tell a heartwarming story of people starting a new life in the West today.

Following a successful trial tour last year, we have received funding from Arts Council England and Oxford City Council for a tour of 16 venues mainly in South and East England this autumn.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable TSM for our Autumn tour, visiting 16 small- scale venues across the UK in October/ November.
The TSM will be responsible for setting up simple, pre-recorded sound (Qlab - toured) and lighting (ETC Nomad - toured), along with operation of both during the show.
Where time permits, the TSM will assist with un/loading the van and get-ins/-outs , although the 3 cast members will lead on set assembly and self-manage all props/ costumes.
The TSM should be familiar and comfortable with re-lighting the show to suit a range of sized and resourced venues and be happy to liaise as needed with all venues re. technical requirements.
A driver would be preferred - over 25 and comfortable driving a long-wheelbase transit van, but is not essential. Driving will be shared between members of the touring company.

Rehearsals: 26, 29, 30 September & 1st October in Oxford
1st perf: 2nd October
UK Tour: 3rd October - 8th November (Minimum 2; maximum 5 venues per week)
Pay: £91 per day
Plus tour accommodation and travel
Plus £17 per performance day subsistence allowance
