Target Audience Coordinator Role Available

The Immigrant is inspired by the Charlie Chaplin films of the same name. The productions uses visual, physical and slapstick comedy to tell the bittersweet story of people starting a new life in the West today. Based on hundreds of accounts of what it is like to come to live in an unfamiliar culture, the show is about the universal theme of trying to fit in when you stand out.

Following a successful trial tour last year, we have received funding from Arts Council England and Oxford City Council for a tour of 16 venues mainly in South and East England this autumn.

As the show has no words, we aim to engage with audiences for whom language is seen as a barrier to enjoying theatre. These groups include d/Deaf people, people with English as an Additional Language. We need someone who is a good communicator, efficient with administrative work and who can be sensitive to the needs of target audiences, support organisations and venue managers.

The job will involve contacting organisations and groups that work with target audiences, preparing print marketing and social media content for target audiences, evaluation and finding creative ways to get target audience bums on seats!

10 days, flexible dates £910 fee
