Creative Dementia Arts Network (CDAN) is an Oxford based organisation with a national reach. Our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of people with dementia through the arts. In partnership with Methodist Homes Association (MHA) CDAN have been awarded funding for an arts and dementia project that aims to deliver the Make and Move Arts programme to two of Methodist Homes Association (MHA) care homes in Coventry and Croydon
The Make and Move programme begins in August 2018 and will end in April 2019. Two conferences will be held to share the results of the project nationally in June 2019.
We are seeking an experienced project admin assistant who is able to provide reliable very flexible support for Make and Move which being led by our Chief Executive, Maria Pasiecznik Parsons, who is coordinating the Make and Move programme in Croydon with Helen Fountain who is coordinating the Make and Move arts programme in Coventry. Alongside the programme we shall be running our FLOURISH professional development programme for arts practitioners who want to learn how to work with people with dementia.
We are seeking a project admin assistant for an immediate start in August 2018. The post is part time with just a few days work every month but those days will be very important for the project coordinators who will be keeping the project on track.
You will be an enthusiastic self-starter who has been involved in providing admin support for projects preferably in arts, health and or social care. You will have very good written and communication skills, strong organisational skills, work well to deadlines, fast at word processing, able to create and maintain simple Excel databases, and have some experience of organising events (preferably conferences)

90% of this post involves work on a computer and on the phone. The person appointed can work anywhere and anytime as long as the tasks agreed are completed to an acceptable standard and on time. The job would suit a various people who can work hard for a few days a month e.g.retired people, people with some care responsibilities, students or arts practitioners etc.
