Salary / Fee:
£500 - £700
Closing Date:

Experience
We are looking for an inspiring practitioner with experience of working with older people (60+) to lead the workshops. Creative writing (either poetry or prose) is the core activity, but we will also consider practitioners who combine creative writing with other art forms (e.g. painting, music, drama). The number of participants for the sessions is not yet fixed, but it likely to be 10-15 people. The ideal candidate will be able to work sensitively with participants of different levels of experience, helping them create work in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Delivery
The successful candidate will design and deliver 3 x 1.5-hour creative workshops, delivered weekly on Thursdays from the 23rd of August. These workshops will support participants to create a piece of writing, or a number of smaller pieces of writing, which can be compiled into a booklet. The successful candidate will help produce a printable version of the participants'€™ work that can be shared with participants once the workshops have taken place.

Resource
Remuneration for the workshops is dependent on experience, ranging from £500-700 in total. All materials, travel expenses, and parking must be included within this budget. Staff will be available for the workshops if required.

Applications
If you would like to apply, please send a copy of your CV/portfolio sample and a budget breakdown of costs . Please also include a brief covering letter explaining why you would like to deliver this work and what you could bring to the role (no more than 2 sides of A4). Please submit your application by 9am on the 20thth July. We will contact you with further information, should you be short-listed. Informal telephone interviews will be used to select a candidate and we will then organise a meeting to explore your ideas in more detail before the end of July.

If you have any questions, then please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you. Please send all information to: graham.riach@ell.ox.ac.uk
