Pegasus is excited to open application for the SPARK supported artist programme – inviting artists and companies to work with Pegasus from July 2018 – July 2019 to develop a new production for young audiences.

Pegasus is a pioneering force creating the present, challenging and shaping the future and making an enduring impact on the vitality of the performing arts locally, regionally and nationally.

We believe passionately that young people are the changemakers of the future. We nurture young artists and leaders providing unique opportunities for them to be influential in the arts and wider community.

The SPARK supported artist programme provides artists and companies of all levels with the space and skills development needed to turn their bold new ideas into a reality.

We’re looking to support new work for families and young audiences (aged 0-25) across the spectrum of performing arts that represents the vibrant and diverse community of East Oxford. We particularly welcome applications from artists whose experiences are less visible in ‘mainstream’ arts programming including BAME, LGBTQ+ and / or disabled artists.

The year long programme will provide bespoke support for four artists/companies based on their individual needs to cultivate, catalyse and develop innovative new productions.

SPARK artists at Pegasus have access to:
•Free rehearsal space
•Production days with our professional technical team
•Showcase events such as SPARK Night (performance scratch event, Spring 2019)
•Dramaturgical support with our Artistic Joint CEO
•Fundraising & marketing advice
•Opportunities to collaborate with Pegasus Young Companies & youth groups
•Network with artists & companies specialising in different areas of performance
