We would like to hear from artists with skills in any art form who have experience running workshops and sessions for young people aged between 6-18 who may be interested in running art sessions of around 1 hour in length as part of Ark-T's Creativity Camps holiday art courses in August this summer.
Artists need to be particularly skilled at working with those who are experiencing disadvantage, are struggling in education and/or have emotional or behavioural needs as places on these holiday camps are prioritised for young people in these situations.
We will employ artists for a minimum of 2 x 1 hour sessions per day, plus time to set up and pack away and take part in a briefing session - e.g. usually a minimum of 3 hours work on any one day.
A materials budget will also be provided.
At the moment we are looking for expressions of interest along with ideas for sessions that you might like to run.
We are actively seeking a diverse range of artists to deliver sessions to our young people this summer and are open to new ideas.
Please send a c.v. and a covering letter, (including confirmation that you have a DBS check, public liability insurance and are registered as self-employed) along with any links to images of your art and workshops, along with ideas, to Lizzy McBain, Children In Need Project Manager.
