The Development Officer is a new part-time role for the Corn Exchange Trust and is funded by Arts Council England through their Catalyst: Evolve funding strand for the next twelve months. Catalyst Evolve is a three-year funded project designed to increase fundraising in our organisation.

You will be interested in supporting the development of fundraising for the Corn Exchange and will be eager to learn and support the delivery of an exciting and ambitious fundraising strategy. This is a unique opportunity to be supported to develop key fundraising skills and you’ll be nurtured to develop in this area of arts management.

You will have creative ideas to enhance the fundraising strategy and help the Head of Business Development and the Development Manager achieve key financial targets.

You will have the ability to work closely with colleagues from across the organisation, and enjoy motivating others to support you in putting your fundraising ideas into practice.

Job Title: Development Officer

Reports to: Development Manager

Hours: 16-20 hours per week (can be spread across working week to fit in with school hours)

Contract: Fixed term for 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Salary: £17,000 - £18,500 per annum pro rata

Holiday entitlement: 20 days per annum pro rata
