OLHA journal

The Oxfordshire Local History Association (OLHA, www.olha.org.uk) is for everyone interested in the history of our county. We foster and promote the study and publication of local history and act as an umbrella organisation for local history groups, of which there are more than eighty in Oxfordshire. We also campaign to preserve and improve services for Oxfordshire local historians. Members of OLHA receive our highly-respected journal once a year, containing articles by Oxfordshire local historians on a wide range of topics. The current editor of the journal wishes to retire after many years in post and so we are looking for a replacement. The job involves collecting suitable articles and commissioning book reviews, editing these in collaboration with their authors, liasing with the printer over layout and design, proof reading the final draft, and sending out the journal to members with the help of the membership secretary. The post holder would become a member of the OLHA committee which meets four times a year in Oxford. The journal is published once a year and this can be at any time of year to suit the post holder. Examples of past editions of the journal can be seen at http://www.olha.org.uk/journal/. For further information on the post and for an informal discussion please contact the OLHA chairman Tony Hadland on chair@olha.org.uk.
