The Corn Exchange, Newbury are seeking a self-starter with great motivation and energy. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to start their career in an arts marketing environment. Key to this role is excellent organisation and great written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will be really good at time management and have an open and constructive attitude to all areas of theatre and performance.

Job purpose: To fulfil a range of Marketing and Administration tasks in order to assist in the smooth and efficient running of both the Marketing Department and the Finance & Administration Team.

Marketing: Support the marketing team to deliver a range of marketing activity in order to maximise attendance and ticket income for all events at the Corn Exchange, Learning Centre and 101 including theatre, film, dance, comedy, family events and outdoor events, as well as promoting off-stage activity such as fundraising and learning and participation activities together with the organisation as a whole.

Administration: To act as first point of contact for all switchboard and stage door enquiries and to support the smooth running of the organisation by carrying out efficiently a variety of day to day administration and finance tasks, with a specific responsibility for supporting personnel management and the executive team.

Salary: £15,250 (plus 1% matched stakeholder pension contributions after 6 months)

Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)
