This role works alongside the Learning & Participation Administrator to support Young Corn Exchange project activity as well as the wider administration of the group.

The role is designed as a step towards future work in the arts, youth work, education or events management and is intended for a young person aged between 18 and 25 who is interested in gaining experience of creative project administration, mentoring and working in the Learning Department of a Theatre, and developing leadership and organisational skills.

The Assistant is a one-year fixed-term position from April 2017 – March 2018. An induction and planning day will be held at the Corn Exchange with the Learning and Participation Administrator before tasks are undertaken. The YCE Assistant will be mentored by a current member of the Corn Exchange Board or Corn Exchange Senior Management and will also have the opportunity to undertake their Gold Arts Award over the course of the year.
