Youth Musical Theatre 5+ performance 2016

Chipping Norton Theatre is a restlessly busy and ambitious theatre and arts centre in the Cotswolds. Welcoming over 50,000 people every year in a town of over 6,500, The Theatre delivers a year-round programme of theatre, comedy, music, film and participatory activities for audiences across the region.
Take Part is the creative learning department of The Theatre and delivers a busy schedule of regular and holiday workshops. Each week approximately 400 people come through our doors to participate in regular sessions.
Chipping Norton Theatre is seeking class assistants (age 16+) to support our tutors for one or all of the following regular sessions:
Youth Musical Theatre (5 – 7 years), Mondays, 4 – 5pm
Street Dance (8+ years), Mondays, 5 – 6pm
Saturday Drama (5 – 7 years), Saturdays, 10am – 12.15pm
Starting week beginning 24th April 2017, this is an excellent opportunity to work with professional theatre practitioners and gain experience of performing arts workshops for children.
Class Assistants are required to attend sessions every week during term time, (three terms of ten weeks per year).
As the roles involve working with children, class assistants need to undergo a DBS check.
There may also be an opportunity to chaperone young performers in our annual pantomime, if this would also be of interest to an applicant.
Please send a letter detailing your suitability for these roles to:

You are also welcome to contact Anne Gill, Take Part Director, on 01608 649102, Monday – Wednesday if you would like to discuss the roles in more detail.
