The Theatre Chipping Norton is now recruiting for a full time Marketing Officer (Maternity Cover).

Chipping Norton Theatre is a restlessly busy and ambitious theatre and arts centre in the Cotswolds. Welcoming over 50,000 people every year in a town of over 6,500, The Theatre delivers a year-round programme of theatre, comedy, music, film and participatory activities for audiences across the region. More recently, we have grown as a producing house, creating three major productions each year and growing a stronger and more loyal audience as a result. We are looking to grow this area of our work and have begun to tour a production once a year, we currently have two co-productions running and production transferring to London this Summer.

The Marketing Officer is a key position at the theatre working alongside our Director to Market and promote The Theatre and everything that goes on here. It is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of an ambitious team, and gain further experience of marketing a combination of theatre produced work, received shows and workshops in a beautiful theatre in a beautiful part of the world. We are a very welcoming team and are always keen to invest in our staff and their futures.

The job is diverse, demanding a degree of flexibility, a high level of multi-tasking organisation, and lots of energy! Although this is the only full time marketing role at The Theatre there are a number of other staff that support it, as everyone in the building takes on some sort of marketing role.

The post reports directly to the Director, with whom it works closely. The post holder will also work closely with our Creative Producer and Assistant Programmer who produces the quarterly programme, and also our Arts Admin Assistant who takes on various supportive marketing tasks. It is an ideal post for someone looking to develop skills and experience for an ongoing career in the arts.

Closing date: 10:00 on 14th November 2016
Salary: £16,300 pa.
Full time temporary position on an initial fixed term contract of 7 months.
A handover is planned with the existing post-holder in late Dec/early Jan with the full time post anticipated to start from approx. 10th January.
