• Do you love reading and want to inspire children to read more?
• Are you imaginative, resourceful and have a good sense of fun?
• Do you want to ‘give something back’ to your local community?

Oxfordshire charity Bookfeast is currently looking for volunteers to help as Lunchboox Club Leaders at a variety of Oxfordshire primary schools from September/October 2016. Locations include Oxford (Iffley Road), Headington, Cutteslowe, Witney, Wootton-by-Woodstock.

The role involves leading a 35 minute lunchtime reading group for 7 weeks in every two terms (ie 21 sessions per school year). Children are in Years 5 or 6, with a maximum of 10 children per group. In addition to leading the club, you will be required to read the books alongside the children, plan a variety of simple book related activities for each session (eg writing, art, craft, drama), and carry out simple administrative duties.

Bookfeast will provide a DBS check, handbook, initial training (2 hours), regular networking and resource sharing opportunities with other volunteer club leaders and on-going support from the Project Manager.
