Oxford City Council is searching for dance enthusiasts to get involved in this summer’s Dancin’ Oxford festival. The festival, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, features a programme of dancing taking place at venues and open spaces across the city in spring, summer and autumn. The spring festival took place in March this year. It featured over 25 different events and saw a record number of people take part.

The main focus of the summer programme is on Saturday 16 July as Dancin’ Oxford presents ‘Dancin’ On The Green’. This free event will bring the very best in dance to the heart of the city, with a Dance Stage installed in Gloucester Green and pop-up performances around the city between 12.30pm and 5pm.

We are currently looking for additional volunteers to help out with the running of our summer programme. This will involve various roles including stewarding, liaising with the artists and the audiences, and helping to promote the event around the town.
