Over the last 15 years Dancin’ Oxford has attained national recognition as a major player in the festival arena, with a high quality, wide reaching, year-round engaging and accessible dance performance & participatory programme. The festival is committed to developing and engaging diverse new audiences and participants through a range of strategic partnerships, culturally diverse producing, commissioning and programming, talent development opportunities and embedding delivery at grassroots level within local communities. Dancin' Oxford is built around three key festival events each year:
• A Spring Dance Festival (March) consisting of 10 days of performances, participatory workshops, talks and digital installation and film
• An early Summer Outdoor free public performance programme, accompanied by workshops and activities in the community
• A 2-week Autumn Family Dance Festival - linking into the National Family Arts Festival
We developed an excellent working arrangement with the previous freelance post holder for over 10 years before her retirement, and are looking for someone who will ideally become a long term colleague (funding dependent).
Visit www.dancinoxford.co.uk.

We are looking for someone to lead on the PR, marketing and social media for Dancin’ Oxford from April 2022 onwards, to promote all aspects of the festival’s work:
Through an effective marketing campaign, Dancin’ Oxford aims to:
 Increase and broaden public awareness of Dancin’ Oxford
 Develop diverse audiences and broaden attendance at dance events beyond usual core dance audiences
 Engage more people in active participation in dance (including from diverse communities and those who do not currently engage in the arts)
 Translate participants to audience member
 Build the profile of all participating venues
 Encourage cross-venue attendance
 Contribute towards the sustainability of the festival through engaging audiences, supporters and funders

Fee £6,000 per annum (split across the 3 festivals, plus regular on-going social media). Ideally, we would like the post-holder to start in February 2022 for handover with current post-holder.
