An opportunity has arisen to be involved in a pioneering creative arts project for children aged 7-11 with speech, language and communication need.

This project, run by Fusion Arts, takes the form of after school art sessions once a week, September – December 2016. Sessions will be held in schools and at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Participating children are given the chance to share their creativity, discover and explore their experiences using art materials and imagination.

As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to develop your skills alongside an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, Speech and Language Therapists, School Teaching Assistants and experienced volunteers as well as museum educational staff.

Experience of working with young people and in the creative arts would be an advantage although not essential. This opportunity would suit an individual looking to become an arts facilitator or individuals with an interest in communication and child development.
