Flash of Splendour Arts is a dynamic community arts organisation that specializes in creating groundbreaking exhibitions and accompanying publications to museum-standard levels of production.

We work both entirely in house and in partnership with individuals and institutions to develop and facilitate unique shows based on their own resources, either to remain on site or to tour, locally or nationally.

We work with and on behalf of the community, following strong ethical and ecological business criteria.

We like to think of each exhibition as a "flash of splendour": a temporary installation that permanently transforms and illuminates lives.

Our recent acclaimed 2010 two-site installation at St Anne's College, University of Oxford and Oxford Town Hall, "We Were There, Now We're Here: New Art by Young Artists with Autism and Learning Disabilities," was the culmination of an eighteen-month projects with students at the Ormerod Centre in Woodstock. Flash of Splendour published a book alongside the exhibition, with a foreword by Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP, in which he describes the project as follows:

“A treasure trove of creativity and personal expression. These great examples of art and poetry will stir the imagination of everyone that sees them.”

Services offered:
Curation, exhibitions (permanent, temporary and touring), consultancy, education (mainstream and Special Educational Needs), publishing.

Areas covered:
Visual arts, music, film-making

We are particularly skilled in working with young disabled people and minority groups.
