I am a performer, Singer, Actress, Writer, Dancer, teacher. I have often several projects on the go at once. At the moment the ones boiling on the stove are:

1. Firebird, a duet with Liz Cowdrey; Between us we perform and atmospheric, romantic fusion of Latin, Gypsy and Classical music on Voice, Violin, Guitar, Viola, Recorders and probably more to come thanks to Liz's talents. Our music is suitable for intimate venues, in particular beautiful restaurants and caffees where people DO listen to the music even if they have a glass of wine or a lovely meal in front of them, small theatres and any space that invites the listeners to dream, relax and feel all mellow and soft inside. However we can and do use amplification if necessary for larger venues. Our next gig is April the 3rd at the beautiful Vaults and Garden, University Church of St Mary's,Radcliffe Square, High Street, Oxford OX1 4AH, as part of the Oxfringe Festival. Tickets from WeGotTickets and if there are any left, at the door. See website hopefully by the end of this week: www.firebirdmusic.net

2. Malena or Magdalena. A new version of my Tangotheatre play Malena, La Amante Olvidada (the Forgotten Lover) which was a sold out performance both at The Pegasus Theatre in Oxford 2006 and at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury 2008. The 2009 version is a collaboration with Cherwell Theatre Company and it will be performed in the spring this year. Malena is about yearning, endurance, acceptance, and redemption through love and will. Date tba. See website www.tangotheatre.co.uk Be patient if it doesn't work at first. My host disappeared and I'm trying to re-connect.

3. The Thermodynamics of Love, my first novel in English, an intricate web of love and physics, passion and thought, should be out and about one way or another by the end of this year. Are we Determined by our past? Or should we Determine our present and Future? How much power is there inside our conscious and even uncoscious minds? How much is the power of our Love?

4. Currently teaching at The Mill Arts Centre 3 Singing classes/choirs: Singing for the Terrified, Songthreads I and Songthreads II. Also a Tango fortnightly class. More information from www.themillartscentre.co.uk

5. To come next autum, The Eco-Musical, again at The Mill (my second home!)

LiveArts is a voluntary arts organisation that promotes and organises an annual programme of both professional and community events at St Mary's Church. The funds raised from the regular concert bookings and ticket/bar sales are used to develop further performing arts activities as well as to maintain the Grade 1 listed building. The venue is the largest of its kind in North Oxfordshire and is a vital resource for community groups and schools to stage large events. Each year, over 25 events are held with a total audience in the region of 7,000. We have over 30 volunteers who help to support LiveArts by stewarding, running the bar, operating the lighting, sound and staging. We are in the process of applying for funding to purchase new Exhibition Panels & lighting to enable our venue to be used for exhibitions and conferences.

In addition, LiveArts is committed to supporting younger and older people through its outreach programme of annual workshops. This is the most important work that LiveArts carries out in the wider community by enabling young and old to benefit from taking part. In June 2009, LiveArts will be working on an Intergenerational Workshop Programme called 'Bridging the Gap' that involves dance, creative writing, poetry and photography. We will be working with up to 120 young people from six primary schools and 60 older people from the local community.

Anyone wishing to find out more about our venue can visit www.livearts-at-stmarys.co.uk or contact the LiveArts Administrator during office hours by calling 01295 253329 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays from 9am - 11am or email contact@livearts-at-stmarys.co.uk.

OYAP empowers young people to make a difference to themselves and their communities through the Arts.
Our projects offer creative opportunities for young people in Bicester, Cherwell, Oxfordshire, and beyond, giving encouragement and support to those who have few chances to access art and culture. We work in partnership with other organisations and inspirational artists to create opportunities which develop young people’s creativity, confidence, employability and wellbeing.

We deliver a mixture of regular weekly activities, holiday sessions, and project funded work. Where we make a charge our fees are low and we offer free or pay what you can afford options as we believe our activities should be accessible to all.
