Venue, Timing and Cost

Working alongside local historian Liz Woolley, you will help research and create a short documentary exploring the stories behind Oxford's big screens while learning filmmaking skills including lighting, camera operation, sound recording and editing. You'll also visit the Oxfordshire History Centre to explore archive materials and deepen your research.

This is an intergenerational project for 16-25-year-olds and those over 50.
This is a free course and travel bursaries are available.
Dates (7 sessions: Term Time Only):
Thurs 17th, Tues 22nd, Thurs 24th September,
One-week break then: Tues 6th, Thurs 8th, Tues 13th & Thurs 15th October 2026
Workshops held at Film Oxford, East Oxford Community Centre, Princes Street Oxford.
