In a special late-night opening of Oxford University Museum of Natural History, enjoy a solo performance of Ellie Wilson’s Moth x Human, accompanied by an expert panel discussion and a chance to view an insect exhibition from the museum’s archive.

Moth x Human is a thought-provoking composition that highlights declining UK biodiversity. Moth activity data is sonified into emotive, immersive soundscapes, alongside acoustic instruments, field recordings, and electronics.

This piece was originally commissioned by Oxford Contemporary Music and supported by the UK Centre for Hydrology and Ecology for PRS Foundation New Music Biennial. Visual materials were created by students at the Northern School of Art.
