Deepwell Arts are pleased to bring willow-making back to Headington and invite you to join basket-maker and tutor Ellie Morgan in weaving your very own willow basket.

All materials and tools are provided to enable you to make a fantastic ‘asymmetric’ basket, just bring your own lunch. The workshop is designed for beginners, but others are more than welcome. You will be taught traditional basket-making techniques and supported to complete your own basket by the end of the day.

Ellie is an experienced workshop leader who creates a range of baskets using Somerset grown willow. She is a Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers, a member of the Basketry Association and also skilled in spoon-carving.
