Welcome to Queer Life Drawing!
This is a fun, safe, relaxed social space where everyone is welcome!
Whether you’re an experienced artist or just fancy doodling around, this is a great place to make art and meet new people!
Our Queer Life Drawing classes showcase a range of queer models with a broad range of body types. We are here to celebrate the beauty in all bodies!
Poses will range from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. There will be a break part-way through. If you fancy a challenge, there will also be little drawing exercises you can take part in if you wish.
FAQ
Do I need to be queer to attend?
Not at all, but you need to respect that this is a space by and for queer people. We will often be spotlighting trans and gender non-conforming models. Avoid assuming anything about a person’s gender or sexuality based on their body. Here is a handy guide on how to be an ally to trans and gender non-conforming people: https://www.glaad.org/transgender/allies
Do I need to bring my own materials?
We will be providing drawing boards, pencils, charcoal and paper which you are welcome to use. You are also welcome to bring your own materials.
Why is this space necessary?
There aren’t a great deal of queer events in Didcot. We need safe spaces where we can express ourselves without fear of harassment and be celebrated for what makes us different. It’s also important to celebrate queer bodies in spaces where the models feel like they will be seen and respected.
How can I access a free supported ticket?
