Join ceramicist Pippa Presser for a relaxing and mindful pottery session making relief tiles. These are inspired by the wonderful botanical paintings of Marianne North, whose work fills a room at Kew Gardens.

After being introduced to the context and the techniques, you will be making your own relief tiles. Pippa will support and guide you individually and encourage you to experiment with the fabulous medium of clay. Your tiles will either be treated with oxide and glaze-fired, or left untreated for you to paint once fired. The tiles will be available for collection approximately 3 weeks later.

No previous pottery experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

Pippa Prosser is an experienced art educator and ceramicist, currently establishing her own studio in Warwickshire
