Venue, Timing and Cost
Learn how to create cyanotype prints, a nineteenth century photographic process which uses the sun to create beautiful blue prints, originally used by Victorian botanists to document plant specimens. During the morning session you’ll be introduced to this process, including its history and chemistry, and a demonstration of how it works before creating your own prints. After lunch we will be combining cyanotype printing with making simple book structures exploring how this process can be used to create 3D objects. You will leave the day with a range of cyanotype prints and book structures you have created yourself.
All materials included. All welcome, no experience necessary. Age 16+ (under 18s should attend with an adult).
