The Oxford Revue is turning 70 years old! From Monty Python to Mr. Bean to ‘Love Actually’, the alumni of Oxford’s premier comedy troupe have been polluting the UK cultural landscape since the 1950s. Needless to say, we have no regrets.

I mean, why would we? We personally had nothing to do with those three things, we just brought them up as a self-serving gesture towards cheap nostalgia. But that’s the cut-throat world of the stage for you. If anyone famous so much as sneezes in our general direction, you know we’re going to monetise it. Artistic integrity be damned. We only do student theatre for the MONEY.

Speaking of making money, come to our shows on February 17th and 18th! Two full evenings of sketches, music and other comedic titbits! Jokes will be told! Laughs will be had! Mirth will be broadly distributed amongst the populace! There might even be some special guests…

What will specifically happen, you ask? I literally have no idea. I’m writing this press release all the way back in November 2022 and we haven’t actually started writing the show yet. Not a word. I guess we’ll both be surprised when we come it then, yeah?
