Was an international football match played in No Man's Land between English and German soldiers? Join historian and author Andrew Hamilton as he relates the story of the Christmas Truce based on his grandfather Captain Robert Hamilton's diary account of his experiences on the Western Front 1914, and particularly his role in the Truce. He also gives a detailed description of the iconic event based on over 20 contemporary accounts which paint an evocative picture of what happened.
This is the final talk of the year in our programme of monthly talk at Thame Museum. Complementary mince pies and a glass of wine will also be available.

Join us either LIVE at the Museum, or Online for our pre-Christmas talk
