Course description: Taught by established artist, Miranda Creswell, this three week course will teach participants how to utilise drawing during the painting process and as a way to investigate natural forms, including light, sky and movement. On day one, the group will meet at the Botanical gardens and create drawings in various materials, both in the gardens and the Greenhouses. Guided by the tutor, students will navigate how to expand on these drawings, to create both a multi-layered drawing and a multi layered painting. Consideration will be given to depth of field, scale, hue and tone. The imprint of drawing will be strong in both the painting and a considered final drawing.

Level of experience required to take part: Participants won’t need any experience - just a willingness to experiment and to work at a reasonable pace, with enthusiasm!
