Sirocco is pure joy and energy! A great storm of music celebrating the incredible warmth and diversity of traditions from across the globe. In a programme that mixes European classical with Danish Folk and traditional African music, inspirational South African cellist Abel Selaocoe and members of his band Chesaba join forces with Manchester Collective string quartet.

'Abel Selaocoe is billed as a cellist and composer but that doesn’t begin to cover his talents. The South African musician also sings, improvises, dances and directs, seemingly sculpting sound with his hands…’ Rebecca Franks, The Times, April 2022
