Close up of brightly coloured and patterned fabrics.

Following their very successful 25th Anniversary exhibition, the Oxford Textile Artists are back during Oxfordshire Artweeks with another exhibition titled ‘Connections’. Many of the artists have used the theme connections to describe links within our rural and urban landscapes. Julia Swift has interpreted an aerial view of colourful dinghies tied to a jetty. They form a rhythmic pattern after ferrying their owners between larger boats and the land. Carolyn Walker looked at a very different subject of office buildings on a sunny day in Calgary. Judy Hammond found her connection closer to home with a piece called ‘Highways and Byways’. Roads, paths and motorways connect us together with the landscape and our built environment. Come and enjoy!
