This session marks the start of our new project 'Save the Last Dance for Me' delivered in partnership with the Creative Dementia Arts Network.

This project involves a group of younger people and a group of older people who live with dementia coming together for intergenerational learning. The groups will generate and collect writing, memories, ideas and objects about being old or young before meeting each other to share their experiences and discuss their perceptions and those of society. Both groups will design a Zine that showcases learning from the project and provide guidance for other organisations about intergenerational work.

About Dementia Friends

A Dementia Friend is somebody that learns about dementia so they can help their community. Too many people affected by dementia feel that society fails to understand the condition they live with. Dementia Friends help by raising awareness and understanding, so that people living with dementia can continue to live in the way they want.
