Venue, Timing and Cost
Designed with beginners and improvers in mind, this 6 week course offers the opportunity to study basic yet fundamental building blocks of observational drawing in a supportive and friendly environment. Taking place in the inspirational gallery space at Ayres House Studios, this course is perfect for anyone who loves to draw and those wishing to rekindle their love of drawing.
Week 1: 3rd November 2021:- Mark-making & Happy Accidents
Week 2: 10th November 2021:- Lines, Angles & Perspective
Week 3: 17th November 2021:- Positive and Negative Spaces
Week 4: 24th November 2021:- Contours to build Volume
Week 5: 1st December 2021:- Light, Dark & Tonal Values
Week 6: 8th December 2021:- Textures & Surface Details
A range of materials and equipment will be supplied as part of the course, including, individual A5 sketchbooks for you to keep. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Karen deftly introduces interesting and challenging exercises to the class in a mindful and motivating way to develop her students' own competence, confidence and enjoyment of drawing from close observation.
