George Caird

The Oxford Sinfonia are returning to our main venue of St Mary's on the High St on Saturday 16 Oct. George Caird will be returning to conduct us in a programme of Mozart's Symphony No. 29, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 and Mozart's Divertimento K131. Three well-known classics - what is not to like!

Oboist, teacher and educator, George Caird has held leading positions in UK and European conservatoires (including Royal Academy of Music, Birmingham, and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague), whilst also performing as solo oboist, chamber musician and orchestral player. He has also continued a teaching career of more than 45 years.
