In this story Rudy doesn’t have a red nose; rather it’s his talent for new and exciting music that sets him apart from all the other Reindeer. Together with a magical Jazz Penguin he goes on an adventure that teaches him that life isn’t about following the herd.

Funny, warm and with a massive heart, this show features live music, original songs and lots of imagination, guaranteed to have children aged 3 + mesmerised throughout.

Sing the blues with a Polar Bear, jam with the Puffins and beat-box with an Arctic Fox. It all happens at the North Pole Jazz Lounge; the coooolest place on earth.

The Ballad of Rudy was Goblin's first ever show back in 2013, and we have brought it back to various venues since, including the Royal Exchange Manchester, as the Studio Christmas show in 2015. In 2018 Rudy was the Studio Christmas show at the New Wolsey, Ipswich. In 2020 we live-streamed a one-off storytelling version of the show from the iconic Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zedel in London’s Piccadilly.
