Come along to the free, open-to-all debut live screening of Call of the Silent Cell, a new short film by artist duo boredomresearch, 30th October 5:00-6:30pm at 95 Gloucester Green, Oxford.

Call of the Silent Cell is an experimental short film that has been commissioned for the One Cell at a Time exhibition, which is part of the Human Cell Atlas research initiative. Human Cell Atlas scientists are aiming to map every cell type in the human body as a basis for both understanding human health and diagnosing, monitoring and treating disease.

The One Cell At A Time exhibition uses newly-commissioned artworks and creative learning projects to explore the science of the Human Cell Atlas, as well as public attitudes to body, tissue and data donation for research.

Call of the Silent Cell, which is one of the One Cell At A Time commissioned artworks, is a poetic expression of science that illuminates links between our biomedical and environmental health and reflects on the latest insights revealed by single cell analysis. Join us for its cinematic debut on the 30th October 5:00-6:30pm at 95 Gloucester Green, Oxford.

There will also be the opportunity to meet Vicky Isley & Paul Smith (boredomresearch) and their collaborator, Human Cell Atlas member Marcin Pekalski. After the film screening you can ask them questions and enjoy a drink or two.
