‘We must be patient and hide away, until the sun shines bright another day.’

Pete is a happy, sociable young bear who enjoys going to school, playing with his friends and spending time with his grandparents. But when winter comes, Pete must stay inside with his mum. How will he feel when the day to leave his cave finally arrives?

This sweet story is suitable for all ages and features a cast of three actor-musicians, original songs, dance and interactive storytelling – a perfect early theatre experience for children, and an opportunity for families to share their feelings about having to stay at home during the recent lockdown.

Designed for early years and Key Stage One (KS1) children, the play Pete Stays Home was adapted by Renata Allen from a book by Banbury based author Karra McFarlane.

Recommended ages: 4 – 7 years (and their grown-ups)
